Papa Francesco venerdì 25 febbraio ha pubblicato  un messaggio in lingua russa e ucraina, oltre che nelle altre lingue tra cui italiano e inglese, con le parole presenti già nell’enciclica Fratelli tutti: “Ogni guerra lascia il nostro mondo peggiore di come lo ha trovato. La guerra è un fallimento della politica e dell’umanità, una resa vergognosa, una sconfitta di fronte alle forze del male...”
